A renowned socio-political group in the south-east has reiterated the need for the electorate in the Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone to vote wisely during forth coming election in 2023.
The group noted that voting for a credible candidate is the only sure way to guarantee enduring democratic dividends to the zone.
In a press conference held in Abuja on Thursday, the group national chairman Dr Williams Orji said that the only candidate who fits into all the requirements needed for quality representation in the Senate is Engr Chief Kenneth Emeka Eze, who through his antecedents as a local government chairman in Ebonyi state, Ezza South Local government area, in particular, brought the benefits of governance down to the people of the area, through the provision essential and basic necessities to the people.
“Yes, we saw in Engr. Ken, is the man that is fit to occupy and represent the people of Ebonyi Central in the senate. He has proven without count that he will render a good representation on behalf of the people that sent him there.
“ if you check out his antecedents as local government chairman, you will agree with us that Engr. Ken is the only candidate firmly groomed by the sheer push to bring quality representation that will cut across the zone through sound, effective legislative articulation and transparent and accountable ultilisation of the constituency allowance sorely for the people he will represent at the red chamber.
“These are some of the reasons his people voted him as the flag bearer of APC in the forth-coming election. They saw a man who has done great things for his people before; a man who knows how to use whatever resources were in his hands to impact positively on his people; the reason that he was one of best performing local government chairmen in the country, during his tenure as Eze South local government chairman,” the chairman added.
He called on the people of the zone to cue in on the political trend in the country by voting for the winning party, which is APC in all the segments of the coming elections, saying that with APC in power at the federal and, the same party in power in Ebonyi state, including in Ebonyi Central senatorial zone in particular, the country will continue to be on the pathways of development and positive transformation.
