The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has introduced bill online download portal to eliminate delay in obtaining physical copy of energy bills within the South-East.
The Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Mr Emeka Ezeh, said in a statement on Monday in Enugu that electricity customers in the South-East could now download their energy bills at their convenience from the EEDC website anywhere.
Ezeh said that electricity customers could also proceed to pay their bills without necessarily waiting to receive the physical copy of their bills at the end of the month.
According to him, the initiative is a 24-hour customer support service introduced by the company as part of its ongoing automation processes aimed at achieving efficiency and improving customer experience.
“This service applies only to postpaid customers (both metered and un-metered), and enables them to conveniently download their energy bills for payment, access their bill history for up to six months period, as well as monitor their energy consumption.
“In addition, customers can also request for a new connection, lodge complaints and generate support tickets for tracking such complaints.
“To subscribe for this service, customers are expected to log on to EEDC website (www.enugudisco.com), click on the ‘Bill Download’ button; accept the terms and conditions, sign-up by filling their account numbers or meter numbers and providing other relevant information required to consummate the process.
“The ”Bill Download” initiative is expected to reduce the identified challenges associated with manual/physical bill distribution,” he said.
The EEDC spokesman said that the “company would come up with more solutions to make customer experience enjoyable and equally enhance its processes”. (NAN)
